Fight Cold & Flu FAST with these 6 ingredients

PLUS- an unexpected homeopathic remedy that works WONDERS.

Feel better in less than a week!

Let’s face it: no one likes feeling sick.

Couch-ridden. Texicole.com

Once that familiar swelling and inflammation settles in.. combined with an itchy sore throat.

Maybe throw in some post-nasal drip?

Ack.

But, there’s a quick and easy solution.

Ginger tonic- texicole.com

Yes–the mixture has an acquired taste.

However, it beats 14+ days of sneezing and coughing!

You’ll notice the following:

FAST relief of symptoms

Reduction of phlegm

Antimicrobial / antibacterial / anti-inflammatory

Detoxify & flush out toxins

Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey

When choosing your ingredients-quality is important; you want to feel better and adding more toxins won’t help. Organic is the way to go, especially when it comes to ACV and honey.

Bragg’s ACV is the best AND it contains ‘the mother’, fermentation that accumulates at the bottom of the bottle. This is what you see when the vinegar is unfiltered. The mother contains all of the benefits that combat the nasties.

Raw honey is a natural anti-inflammatory. If it is local, even better. The notion is that local honey is made from the flowers that cause seasonal allergies. Regular ingestion of raw local honey can produce enough anti-histamine.

Personally, it helped me out so well- I stopped taking Claritin.

Making the ‘Tonic’

Alright. Down to business.

Gather the following:

Mix in a cup of hot water.

Drink up!

Now for the other part of the remedy: Try this before bed.

You’ll need—

half of a yellow or red onion.

  • Cling wrap
  • Thick socks

Slice and place on the soles of your feet. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap then put your socks on.

If you have leftover onion- chop it up and place in a bowl near your bed.

It will absorb germs and bacteria from the air.

texicole.comTrust me- this works.

How I heard about the onion remedy

A former coworker who was from the Dominican Republic ( I mentioned her in my evil eye post ) showed me this ‘old-wives’ remedy a few years ago.

I looked it up on Pinterest and found these:

Here’s a short article highlighting interesting ways to use an onion.

Magical Onion: Miraculous Things You Didn't Know Onions Could Do!

Clean-up

When you wake up the following day, carefully unwrap your feet.

You’ll notice that the onions look mushy/ slightly cooked–>That shows that they did their job.

Throw away and rinse your feet in warm water and soap. Dry well.

I use this remedy every time I feel a cold coming. Combined with the ACV tonic, which aids your body in fighting off the bad stuff- you’ll be set!
