Hi ya’ll! I’m Nicole, founder of Tex.icole.com

Need tips on cooking? Unsure of which Tequila to drink? Wondering what the hell astrology is all about? Chakras and crystals?? Where the best of the best ___ (hole in the walls, mom and pops shops, ect ) in Texas are?

It’s all going to be covered in one convenient spot. I encourage all to join me as I research and find out answers to a variety of topics.

1st Award Nomination! The Blogger Recognition Award

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

The Blogger Recognition Award is just 1 example of how supportive the blogging community is.

This blog is about to hit its 3rd month in a few days. Let me tell you, blogging is literally like a roller-coaster ride. Between juggling different social media platforms and working on original content, there is little time to breathe.

Twitter

So many like-minded individuals and bloggers use Twitter to network with one another. I was pleasantly surprised to have been nominated by fellow Texan, Crystal. She runs her blog with her daughter! Check them out here.

Thank you for your support!

Like I mentioned before, it can be overwhelming to manage so many different accounts. Not only do you have to create content for your blog.. you also have to consider what to post on social media.

Researching is important- and most people who write also love to read.  So why not network with other bloggers and check out what they’re working on? Twitter is full of blogging communities looking for new members.

My story

After years of keeping a journal, I had always enjoyed having my own place to use as an outlet.

The very first experience I had at “blogging” was through Xanga.com (I was a freshman in HS), though most of my posts were set to private.

Flash-forward 15 years and here we are.

Any fellow procrastinators out there? You completely understand.

Change is not easy.

But it’s really what you choose to make of it.

The most fulfilling aspect of having a blog is that I get to write about my passions, while sharing what I learn and do with others. In addition, my very first cookbook is in the works!

Feel free to check out my welcome post  for more info on topics I’ll be discussing on this site.

New bloggers out there?

Here’s some advice for y’all:

  • Be authentic & genuine in everything that you do.
    • Positivity is contagious- you earn trust and respect.
  • Don’t be discouraged if you don’t immediately receive support from loved ones.
    • They will come around eventually. Remember- you are doing this for Y-O-U.
